What a whirlwind! Saving Gracie has been out for five days and the response has been gratifying. Cards, letters, flowers — four bouquets are overflowing on my kitchen counter, a welcome hint of spring.

My hometown paper, the Great Falls Tribune, has given me tremendous coverage in the last week and I’ve heard from a number of people who own puppy mill dogs who are glad to know that finally a book is out that describes their ordeal.

I can’t tell you how much it means to hear words of support. Now I’m off to make cookies for Saturday’s book-signing: 2 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble in Great Falls. Hope to see you there!
